Favorite Strawberry Movie!! Why no DVD?! July 27, 2008 I love this movie form Strawberry Shortcake it is by far my absolute favorite!! It has the "Peculiar Purple Pie Man of Porcupine Peak" and "Sour Grapes" together as the villians. And a new array of good guys are introduced too!! I really hope they put this one on DVD soon, I miss it so!!
Great memories of this movie! December 17, 2003 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This was an excellent film that I used to love to watch. After reading the other reviews, I remember much more but the part that I remember most was that Strawberry Shortcake was unhappy with the way she looked and wished that she had long hair. She sang a song...I'm gonna look like who I want to be when I grow up... At the end of the movie, the Berrykin Princess granted her wish and gave her long hair! Great movie, great songs, perfect for little girls!! Hey, I wanna watch it again!
The Best Strawberry Shortcake video of all August 6, 2002 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
As a child, I adored Strawberry Shortcake and her world. I am pretty sure that I rented every single one of her videos and watched them over and over again. I distinctly remember this one more than the others because it was my favorite one. In this video, everybody was getting ready for a celebration. Everyone decided to present one of their very best fruits in honor of the occasion. So they each go through their berry patches and pick the choicest fruits. Then they place them in a cornicopia on the table. I also remember that Strawberry Shortcake spent a long time getting ready to go out, and she pictured herself in many different outfits and hairstyles. I think she ended up leaving her hair down and tyring a ribbon in it as a headband. When she went to the door to leave, she was surprised to find her chosen fruit sitting on the doorstep. When she met up with all of her friends, they too had found their fruits on their doorsteps. I can't remember exactly what happened, but it turns out that the fruits that they picked are actually little berrykins!! little berry people that are the most adorable things ever! As usual, the Purple Pie Man and his partner in crime Ms. Sour Grapes (or something like that) were plotting something evil. i just remember that they ended up stealing the berrykins away and they placed them in a large glass bottle with a cap that looks like the caps on salt and pepper shakers. Then I think that the Purple Pie Man had to pedal the bicycle in order to tip the glass bottle and shake the scents out of the berrykins in order to create a very nice perfume. However, the details might not be correct because I don't remember it exactly. However, of course Strawberry Shortcake and her friends save the day. I don't actually remember much about the Berrykin Princess, but she is on the cover. Anyway, I hope somebody sells this video soon because I have been longing for this video for so long!! It will bring my childhood alive for me.
This was a great movie January 3, 1999 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This movie was great!! I love Strawberry Shortcake, and her books as well! This movie was very fantasy-like. The fairy princess in it was gorgeous, and the little berrykins were adorable. You couldn't help but adore this cute, fun-loving movie. I reccomend this to kids everywhere.
