Better Than I Expected! January 3, 2009 spgbla (San Diego, CA) I bought this for my daughter this Christmas. She plays DDR at her after school program and was insistent upon getting one at home. We don't own any gaming systems, so the challenge was to try and find a plug and play DDR. After researching most products that fit the bill on the market, we settled on this one. This was the best decision! This has been her most treasured Christmas gift and she plays with it daily. She is 7 years old and her brother (8) have dance off competitions. At first, I was worried that they would think it was too amateur compared to the one from their school program but we have had no such complaints. They love it! And the thing they love the most is that it scores/rates your abilities unlike other plug and play DDR's on the market. It tells you when you've done perfect, good, or wrong. I have even tried it and found it to be fun. The songs are recognizable and all in all a very easy and fun system to use.
It's great December 27, 2008 Sue (Rochester, NY) Got it for my girls, but I plan to use it too! There are a lot of songs and the settings give good options of all ages and abilities.
dancin' disco December 27, 2008 grandma emily (sacramento, ca) This dance pad is great. Lot's of choices for songs and dance steps. My 5year old granddaughter loved it along with her 30year old mother!!!!!
Fun for the whole family! December 26, 2008 Mom (Minnesota) I purchased this for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it and is really good at it. I even tried it and enjoyed it. I have to stick with the 2 arrow difficulty, but my daughter can do the highest level (all 4 arrows). I love that she is moving instead of sitting in front of the TV. I would highly recommend this product!
Bad reviewers are missing its merits. December 20, 2008 Mary Lou Podlasiak (Caldwell, OH) I recommend this in my latest book, Kindergarten Simplified, even though the steps can be difficult to master. The kids I've danced with (ages 4-7) weren't doing very well, but they never tired of trying. That's the way kids are wired. If something is too easy to master, they won't keep trying. And if they don't keep trying, they just end up on the couch getting blubbery.
