3 out of 5 stars Not great, but it works for a child...   April 2, 2008

I bought Disney DDR on a whim - Black Friday, $10, thinking I'll find a kid to give it to later. But eventually, I gave in and opened the box. If you are (or your older child is) a DDR fan, don't bother. You'll be disappointed by the 8-bit graphics, the 8-bit music, and the 9 songs you will hear over and over again.

That being said, I have 2 small children, ages 2 and 4. They love all things Disney, including this game. The 2 y/o loves to jump around on the pad (I occasionally stand behind him and press the proper button), but the 4 y/o enjoys it. I don't care for the game, but you can still get a workout if you're playing with the kids.

Bottom line is this: great for small kids, lousy for adults, but if you're a DDR fan, at least the kids won't be bouncing around on YOUR pad - that alone might make it a worthwhile buy.

Most of the reviews about this game are negative. But have you noticed that all of those reviews are from adults? This is a KIDS game and can be found in the KIDS section in many stores. So here is a kid's review on this product:
I'm 13 and I enjoy it as much as my sister (11) and my brother (8).
There are 3 levels with stars to show difficulty. The hardest level is still challenging for me while the easiest level (for me) is easy. The easiest level is pretty difficult for children under the age of 6.
There are about 9 different songs and each level plays the same songs but at different difficulties. (Girls, there is no Minnie Mouse). This is not a professional DDR game, but it's great for kids and great if you don't have or don't want to buy a playstation.
Overall, this is a fun kids dance game and I would recommend it to everyone!

Lots of fun for kids. Not as big as the original so harder for adults to play, and the kids will want you to play!

This product is GREAT for my FOUR YEAR OLD. I have read reviews where adults disregard this product as bad sound and images, but what grown-ups are playing this game??

There are two things that I expected but didn't get. #1 - they don't sing Disney songs. They just have it to some techno-beat. It's not some digital BOSE quality music, sounds like a ringtone. This is fine, it's for my kid. #2 - The characters didn't dance along with you but they do dance behind their DJ booth. This is FINE. It's for my kid.

The images aren't playstation quality. BUT, this is FOR MY KID and it was $20. So, it's awesome! HE LOVES IT!!! So much better than when he plays his aunts PS game b/c there are no girls in miniskirts, big [...], and songs w/lyrics I don't listen to.

If you have a kid, GET THIS!

Oh! There is no Minnie Mouse for those parents of girls.
