 Will appeal to kids who love Tinker Bell & characters from Pixie Hollow November 30, 2008

My 3.5 year-old daughter is a huge Tinker Bell fan and we recently purchased the Tinker Bell movie DVD. After watching the DVD multiple times and being so interested in the characters, I thought I'd get some of the characters for her. Well, I got two sets through Amazon - one is this set [Beck and Scamper the Chipmunk] and the other is Tinker Bell and Brother Dove. My little one loves them - she loves play-acting and creating her own little fairy world with her fairy houses and Disney fairy characters [we got a set of Tinker Bell and friends figurines from the Disney store] and these two playsets complement them very well.
I'd recommend these only if your little one loves play-acting and is a fan of Tinker Bell and the characters from Pixie Hollow. I do have to say that the facial features of the two fairies in the sets, Beck here and Tinker Bell in the other are not very realistic or true to the movie, but the animals in both sets are very cute and large enough to make playing with them a pleasure, plus they are made of hard plastic so they're quite durable. All in all, I'd recommend this to kids ages 3 and up. A great Pixie Hollow book to read with your little one is:In the Realm of the Never Fairies: Secret World of Pixie Hollow, The (Disney Fairies) by Monique Peterson.

This is an absolutely ADORABLE toy that is worth every penny. The chipmunk is finely detailed and although the fairy's features could have been molded and painted more comely, her overall appearance and "leaf like" wings are unusual.
How often do you see a chipmunk that a fairy can ride on? My daughter flipped over it and I thought it was so clever too. If your child likes forest animals and fairies, well... this is a must buy!
