5 out of 5 stars Cute Castle and Lots of fun   January 6, 2009
Parents of 2 Princesses (Lansdale, PA United States)
My 3 yr old loves this toy. It works really well. It teaches her to take turns. Each Gingerbreadman Card has different Shapes/Colors they have to match the game pieces with their cards. Whoever gets all of the game pieces for their cards wins. I would recommend this toy. I bought it at a really good price.

4 out of 5 stars Adorable.. fun for young kids   January 6, 2009

I bought this for my cousin's daughter who is 3; her 4-year old brother enjoyed putting the pieces in and pulling the lever. We never got to actually play but I was sure they'd enjoy it on "family night" -- the kids seemed to really enjoy the pieces and shapes. Nothing difficult to follow, no assembly, just open the box and play.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful!   December 28, 2008

I bought this toy for my 2 and 3 year old children and they absolutely love it! It's durable and easy to understand. It is educational as well, as it teaches them colors and shapes.

A+ toy! :)

4 out of 5 stars Fun, but storage problem   December 27, 2008
Holly (USA)
This game is cute and fun. A problem I am having and I don't see anyone has mentioned is that the shapes get jammed and you have to dump out all the shapes and put them back in...A LOT. My daughter is 2 1/2 and loves it. She knows all her shapes and colors too, but it doesn't have to be about that. It's just a fun game to see who can fill their gingerbread man first. I would agree with other reviews that storage is a problem and some of the shapes are lost already and we've only had it since Christmas. It's one of my daughter's favorite games that she received. It could be improved upon.

3 out of 5 stars Not sure what all the raves are about.....   December 23, 2008

we were a little bored with this game. I really wanted to like this, because I was avoiding regular candy land, to avoid another regular board game, but still had a sweet spot for it and so when I saw this, and it was so cute, I thought I had the answer to nodding to Candy Land in our game collection, but not buying another board game. However, I think my main mistake was not buying it sooner. The game is VERY basic and the rounds go VERY fast. My three year old is not even remotely challenged, and even though he seems to like playing it a few times in a row, we will be growing out of this very quickly. I wish we had bought this when he was 2 because my son has known his colors and shapes for well over a year and so we aren't even getting a learning experience out of matching the colored shape tokens to the game boards. It IS cute though, and the kids will be able to play it alone, so those are some positives. I paid $[...] direct from Amazon for this and that is fine, I would not pay much more, and all the stores still have this for over $[...]. My advice is just to buy it early, you can always put it away if your kids still seem too young, but once they outgrow it, it becomes a dust catcher.
